Susan Roberts transformed her life by turning her lifelong dream of becoming a professional designer-maker into reality.

Susan was introduced to the basics of glass making when she studied HND in Architecture and Decorative Glasswork. She currently designs and produces glass-hanging panels, but with the arrival her new kiln she is now able to create fused glass, allowing her to produce bowls, plates and jewellery.

“I am proud of all my work for different reasons, but I am especially attached to a glass mosaic panel that I based around a watercolour I painted. I won first prize for it in Scotland’s ‘Skills Challenge’ and it now takes pride of place on my studio wall.”
