Interested in everyday textures – paving stones, the interlacing of tree branches silhouetted against the backdrop of the sky – Marion uses her collection of worn hammers and tools to create subtle and unexpected surfaces, encouraging the viewer to touch. Adopting traditional metalwork techniques, Marion raises the metal up from sheets into functional forms, resulting in work that is personal and reflective of the designer’s engagement with her material.

A range of contemporary jewellery sees Marion applying the techniques used in larger pieces to the more intricate work involved with jewellery.
